Sarah Thawer

Sarah Thawer started playing drums and singing at the age of 2. Her father, himself a renowned musician, introduced her to the drums and she has never looked back. Known for her superb playing style and technical finesse, her music is characterised by a blend of improvisation and musical virtuosity.

Based in Los Angeles, this Canadian artist first performed on stage at the age of 5. By the age of 16, she was performing at major festivals such as the Calcutta Jazz Festival. Sarah is also known for her musical versatility, her level of unpredictability and her ability to play a wide range of genres, from jazz to fusion, rock to Indian and world music.
