Aric Improta is an explosive American drummer, visual artist, and conceptual creator who has redefined the physical and sonic boundaries of modern percussion. He is best known as the rhythmic powerhouse behind the critically acclaimed instrumental progressive rock trio Night Verses, and for his high-profile tenure with the Grammy-nominated explosive rock band Fever 333. Renowned for his hyper-athletic performance style—often incorporating backflips behind the kit—Improta fuses experimental rock, electronic breakbeats, and heavy metal intensity. His solo performance projects, such as Blurry and Full Circle, showcase his unique ability to treat drumming as an immersive multi-media art form.
For his innovative hybrid setup, Improta plays Tama drums, favoring the Tama Superstar Classic series. He uses Meinl cymbals and Meinl Stick & Brush for his fast, intricate patterns, and uses Remo drumheads, featuring the Remo ArtBEAT series decorated with his own artwork. To alter his acoustic tone live, he runs his kit through an electronic pedalboard featuring Roland gear, Strymon effects, and EarthQuaker Devices pedals. His unique soundscape is completed by Spinbal cymbal spinners and custom metal percussion from Morfbeats.
