Alex Rüdinger, often nicknamed "Rudi", is a highly respected American drummer, known for his prolific career as a live and session musician in the world of extreme metal.
He gained initial recognition in the early 2010s through his YouTube content, where he demonstrated laser-precise technique and phenomenal speed. He is praised for his relentless work ethic and is often considered one of the most technically brilliant drummers in the genre.
His versatility has led him to collaborate with a long list of major bands, notably The Faceless, Good Tiger, Whitechapel, and Intronaut. Most recently, he joined the ranks of the thrash/metalcore band Trivium for their tours starting in 2025.
In addition to his career as an artist, he is also an audio engineer, works as a studio musician, and is co-owner of the drum manufacturing company RS Drums.
